Kids are fun.   I don't have any but I sometimes find myself and my camera within their relative proximity.   Nothing beats getting down on the floor and interacting with them on their level.   Some kids ham it up, while others give you that cheesy grin that makes you cringe.   For the latter, you try to find a quiet moment when they're not aware of you and snap candids.  Kids and animals always make for interesting times.   You miss far more shots than you get when some unexpected thing happens, like a baby goat jumping up to touch noses with a 2 year.  Yeah, I missed that one :-(   I also missed the head butt that pushed the 2 year old to the ground and the look on her face when she found herself there.  Priceless.

    I don't have many occassions to shoot formal shots of kids.  When I do, the co-operation rate is usually low ("I HAVE to get my picture taken!") and the results are rarely what I can capture during casual times.   As I say, kids are fun ;-)
